After 30 years of private practice, I have seen firsthand the techniques and practices that work and those that do not.
People come to me wanting to “fix” all kinds of problems, such as severe anxiety,
depression, PTSD, marriage and relationship breakdowns, procrastination, and financial struggles. They usually come to me when they have hit a wall, tried everything they could, felt completely lost, or just had no more energy to continue on.
The one common thread in every single client I have worked with is they all have
limiting beliefs and patterns in their lives that are driving their current reality. These
limiting beliefs and patterns are almost always formed in early childhood, usually in the first 7 years, and they are hard wired into the subconscious part of the brain. It is not until the limiting beliefs such as, “I am not enough,” “I am unworthy,” or “I am not important,” are examined closely and challenged, that they can be permanently removed and replaced with new beliefs that are empowering and transformational.
When a newborn baby comes into this world, they are a blank slate. They come as pure love and from source energy. They have no notion of what a bad experience is or isn’t. They do not believe they are unworthy or stupid. They pick up these messages as they begin to develop and grow, and because they are operating in delta or theta brain waves and are like sponges internalizing these messages. They are unable to filter them or even challenge them to not be the truth because the brain is not designed to do that at a young age.
So, from about the age of 2-7, young children are highly receptive to information and experiences from their environment. They absorb messages, opinions, and beliefs from their caregivers, family members, teachers, and society as a whole. These external influences can shape their understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them. If they consistently receive negative or limiting messages, such as being told they are not good enough or incapable, these beliefs can become ingrained in their subconscious, and it will be the tape that will run throughout their lives. It isn't until they directly challenge these beliefs and replace them with empowering ones that they can shift the narratives of their lives.
Usually this happens somewhere in adulthood, sometimes it never happens.
After spending decades studying the brain and the power the subconscious part of the brain has, as well as seeing the same common thread of how limiting beliefs from childhood create suffering and negative experiences in all my clients, I developed a concrete 4 step system for identifying and eliminating the limiting beliefs and patterns that are formed in childhood.
This system, which I refer to as the 4 D's: Discover, Decode, Deploy, and Delve, serves as a roadmap for clients seeking to create lasting change and transformation in their lives.
The first step is called Discover and it involves helping you become aware of the limiting beliefs and patterns that were formed in your childhood and how they are holding you back. Through open and nonjudgmental dialogue, I will encourage you to explore your past experiences, childhood memories, and recurring themes and patterns in your life. By shining a light on these hidden aspects, we begin to uncover the roots of your limiting beliefs.
Next, we move into step 2, Decode, where we go deeper into the underlying meanings and significance you gave those beliefs and ask the question, “Is this belief I have the truth?” This is a powerful question that will begin to help you realize that the meaning your mind gave to an experience, is not who you are. It is not the Truth.
Once we have a clearer understanding of the limiting beliefs and understand the meaning you gave them are not the truth, we enter step 3, Deploy. Here, you will learn practical strategies and techniques to challenge and replace your limiting beliefs with empowering ones. We explore cognitive restructuring and self-compassion practices, to help you create a new and positive narrative about your life that aligns with who you truly are, that beautiful newborn who came in as pure love and light.
Finally, we embark on step 4, Delve. This is my absolute favourite step because we go
even deeper into the transformation process. Clients engage in continued self-reflection, exploration of emotions, and integration of new beliefs and behaviors into their daily lives. We will explore how energy works through a science-based method and quantum physics and learn how to raise your frequency and vibration. It is in this final stage that all the pieces of the puzzle come together. This is where you have your true aha moments and start living the life you were meant to live.
Counselling and therapy should NOT be complicated and drawn out and only focus on “fixing” the current problem. That may be ok for a while, but it will never remove the deep blocks. My approach goes to the core of where everything began and requires you to take 4 concrete and practical steps to transformation.

The first thing I will ask you as my clients is, "Are you ready to change?" If you have a desire to do something different and look at everything in your life, "the work" will begin. After our first session, I will give you a full assessment of where I think you are at and then will create a personalized plan to help you eliminate all old beliefs and patterns and implement new and empowering ones. The essence of my work is to provide an awareness of the brain-heart connection and facilitate self-growth and a deeper connection to self. It is through this deeper understanding of who you truly are that you can live an authentic life and create amazing results!
